ADDITIONAL ARCHITECTURAL OR STRUCTURAL DESCRIPTION:
1 1/2-story, 6 x 2 bay, vernacular clapboarded structure w/intersecting metal gable roofs and novelty sided shed addition in rear. Rectangular plan w/gable front on right side. Slim cornice returns, stone foundation. There are two front entrances that enter onto a hipped entrance porch that has turned posts. The gable front section has large storefront windows. Other windows are 2/2 w/lip moldings. A shed wall dormer interrupts the eaves overhang (left section) and rises above the roof. Owned by J. Watson in 1857, this building was a shoe store in 1871. Southwest of the structure there is a 1 1/2-story clapboarded frame constructed horse barn w/a steeply-pitched gable roof.
