A local woman crashed her SUV on Westford Road on Tuesday, Sept. 21 after the vehicle became airborne and landed 65 feet from the traveled portion of the road and into the woods, according to emergency responders.
Stacey Hojohn, 39, was trapped in her vehicle but used her cell phone to call 911.
Milton Rescue intercepted the call at 8:34 a.m. Hojohn was alert but didn’t know where she was, said Fire and Rescue chief Don Turner.
The dispatcher said the crash was at the intersection of West Milton Road and Vermont 128, but Turner knew those roads were on opposite ends of town, he said.
“That was my first sign that something was a little bit astray and didn’t make sense,” he said.
