Title: Bill & Dot Celebrate At Kamp Kill Kare
Post by: Henry on August 28, 2006, 08:18:45 AM
Hi All,

Maryann & I attended the combination 80th birthday celebration for Bill Meisenzahl as well as the 41st anniversary celebration for Bill & Dot put on by their children.  The celebration was held down at St. Albans Bay at Camp Kill Kare and a chicken barbecue was catered by Rick’s Catering of Essex and the Birthday & Anniversary cakes were made by Marion Eastman here in Fairfax.

Friends from Fairfax, Milton & Richford were there as well as some relatives from Massachusetts.  A friend of Bill’s who he met at the orphanage in New York State, who now lives in Vermont was also in attendance with his wife.  Bill told me that this friend was a foundling, that is, he was left at the orphanage and the nuns had no idea who his parents were or what his name was, so they gave him his full name.  Hadn’t seen Bill & Dot’s children for many years.  I didn’t know the names of a lot of the people, but have identified those that I could remember in a group of photos I have put up on my photo gallery.  If you would like to see a slideshow of the photos, which are best viewed in full screen, click on the following link:
