Henry  I wish to offer Cam Webber my congratulations again for his first place win in Div. 111 Cross Country championship a couple of weeks ago and wish him the best of luck in his run today at the New England Championship Meet in Thetford .
Running in this sport seldom brings a huge following for viewing purposes, and the isolation that one feels on the course is only overcome by setting goals for one's self as the runners push over and around the many obstacles that face them. This contest today is for the best of the best in 2010.....and Cam is a winner no matter where he finishes !!!

Thanks Dick Brown for your nice message to Cam.  I could not have said it any better than you about the sport of xc running.  I would say the best thrill you get is when you come across the finishes line and your family, friends, and teammates are cheering you on.
As a former assistant coach at BFA (many years ago) and part of a running family, it is wonderful to see such a large group of students taking part in this sport.  My hat is off to a very dedicated coaching staff.  It has been a long time since BFA had a runner in the New England meet!  Good luck Cam.

My husband told me :   Cam finished a very respectable 90th in a field of 270. He was the 7th VT runner.  A fine finish to a great season for a young man who had never run competitively before.  Congratulations, Cam!
