Title: Well They Are Surveying For Something
Post by: Henry on November 05, 2010, 09:16:13 AM
A couple of guys just parked on my lawn, have put out their surveying signs and put on their green reflective vests.

Wonder what they are surveying for??  Maybe a new Walmart??

It isn't surveying - Its a couple of Fairpoint Trucks working on the line in front of The Old Blue House just down the road.

A Wal-Mart. On Fletcher Road.
Seriously?
Do you have any idea what the traffic would be like in the center of the village?
There would be so much traffic on Fletcher Road, Henry, that you could never leave your driveway.

Dad loves to kid around!! Since St. Albans is so slow on the department store front, how about Georgia near the interstate :-)

I like Henry's idea, only we'll bypass the center of town with a separate road, or maybe make a round about / rotary at the bottom of the hill!!

Works for me Cedarman! LOL, I know this is not in the cards, but I would love having some more busineeses start making Fairfax their home.  It would help with taxes for sure!

I heard thru a VERY reliable source (wink, wink) There is going to be a Walmart on 1 side and a Lowes on the other. And if all goes well Krispy Kreme and Longhorn restaurants will follow.
