Title: Students Level Westford Ice Rink

The Westford skating rink is no longer slanted. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, the 14 inch differential between the two ends of the rink is gone.

Jason Morse of Essex Equipment lent the machinery for the job but refuses to take any credit.

“The kids at Essex Center for Technology did all the work,” he said. “I just facilitated.”

Hugh Gibson, a Natural Resources and Agriscience Technology teacher at the Center for Technology was happy to have his students work on the project. Essex Center for Technology is a regional school with students from around Chittenden County and beyond."

Just thought it should be made clear that for the tree lighting - we originally had fairpoint donating their services to put the ligths on the tree but with the windstorm and then the snow storm did not have a truck available - with the then limited time - we rented a lift - Milton Rental was very generous - the cost of the lift was almost $200 and they gave it to us for $83, I believe it was a 60% discount.

Thank you very much for explaining that Katrina - I will edit out my negative remarks as under this condition with the additional information, my comments were definitely uncalled for.
