Title: Break-In At St. Ann's Church In Milton Being Investigated
Post by: Henry on January 21, 2011, 08:25:24 AM
St. Ann Catholic Church is conducting a property inventory to determine what, if anything, was stolen following a break-in reported Tuesday, Milton police said Thursday.

One or more burglars caused several hundred dollars' damage by forcing entry into the Main Street church, Detective William Bosworth said. The break-in happened between 8 p.m. Monday when the parish priest left and 8 a.m. Tuesday when the janitor checked the building, Bosworth said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Milton police at 893-2424 or Champlain Valley Crime Stoppers at 864-6666. Cash rewards are being offered for tips leading to an arrest.

I don't understand why anyone would do this.  This is the third break-in since last summer and mostly the costs incurred was for vandalism and not property stolen.  This is just heartbreaking and frustrating!
