Maybe I am going over the edge, but I have always enjoyed watching it snow. I usually turn my porch light on and just relax in my lazy boy watching the snow gently fall outside. It is so very, very peaceful and it allows me to sit there and appreciate my home, surroundings and friends as well as count my blessings.
I would truly be very, very lonesome, if I ever had to move from Fairfax and its people. This is truly my home and I enjoy it so much.
It is truly snowing very hard right now, but is expected to end by 7 a.m. in the morning.

As of a few minutes ago, we had 4" on top of Margie's Beetle. I have already shoveled 3" of the stuff, before I took a walk around and ended up in the center of the village. There are cars out, but they are going slow.
This is nuts. I got nowhere to put it.
And it's heavy stuff. I can hear the snow hitting the hood of my coat. This is the stuff that can snap tree limbs and such.
This could get ugly.

I just went out to shovel the walk a little and thought it had stopped snowing. WRONG! It is now freezing rain on top of heavy snow. :(

The snow is so wet and heavy that my shovel broke. I gave up and am going to bed. I'll have to buy a new one in the morning. It is absolutely beautiful, except for the shoveling part!
