Title: JoAnne Captures Some Steam Coming Out Of A Sugar House
Post by: Henry on February 18, 2011, 08:00:23 PM
Hi Henry,
Saw this today. It is Matt McNalls  sugar house, on Wagner Rd. I couldn't see any buckets or pipeline anywhere around, though. ???

Must be buying sap ??

We were tapping thursday, friday, and saturday.  Sap was running a little bit thursday and friday, but then this cold weather put a halt to that quick!

I know they truck or should I say tractor their sap to the sugar house.  I was pretty sure they tap up behind to but I haven't been up that road in years so I don't know.  Almost looks like you can see a main line running into the sugar house in the picture though

Great picture !!  A Vermont Life Photo for sure.
When I came to town in the 60's , Win McNall was boiling in the Sugar House, then his son Dick took over and now I assume that Matt is continuing the tradition. Good memories ...wonderful times at that Sugar House and also at the the one on the Bellows farm.
