I applaud having a clinic; however the hours are hard to get to if you work in Chittenden County. Hopefully we will make it.

The staff will stay late if the turn out is good Mary Kay, when I did it 3 years ago we were there until about 6pm. Randy doesn't have much say in the time either it is the Vet that administers the clinic that sets Date and time for the event.

Hi Henry: Just wanted to remind people of the rabies clinic tomorrow (Wednesday) from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Town Garage. Dr. Stephens from Hype Park will be the vet.
This clinic is open to everyone not just Fairfax residents. Rabies and Distemper $15.00 each.
Dog licensing for Fairfax residents will also be taking place at the same time.
Hope to see you there.

Rich and I were trying to remember "Are Rabies shots required every year or every other year?"

They are good for 3 years now I think some places say you should do it every other though.

Josh, did you get a rabies vaccination when you became Constable? I did in 2002. 6 years later when I had blood work done, I asked about it and still had an acceptable amount in case I were to be exposed. They said that it would probably be good for about 10 years :)

I did not get one Trevor but that is a good idea. I'm not a big fan of shots after the million or so I got while on active duty I think I'm set for life.

LOL, it's probably the smallest needle I've even been poked with. It literally hurt less than a mosquito bite. It's not like you're getting a tattoo or something!

If you were getting just the license, you only needed to go to table with town office people - very fast! I took my dog & 5 cats for shots, waited in line maybe 20 min., visited with others doing the same & it went very fast! Staff from vets office very helpful, courteous & really moved things along! It took no longer than waiting in vets office, but LOTS cheaper!! No exam fee & the shots were offered cheaper than vets I use ! Thankyou to those making this possible!!
