LOCATION (specific): Interstate 89, South Burlington
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 4/16/2011 State Police in Williston were dispatched to assist with a woman who just gave birth on the side of the highway in South Burlington. Upon arrival the new mother complained of pain and the baby was having difficulty breathing. Due to the proximity to Fletcher Allen Medical Center, State Police provided an escort and arrived in less than a minute to waiting medical staff at the Emergency Room. Mom, Dad, and eager baby are all doing well.
