Embezzlement is not an uncommon thing now-a-days. Businesses need to be cautious and not leave to much responsibility in the hands of one person.
The manager of the Tractor Supply Company in Swanton is facing embezzlement charges.
William Sothorne allegedly took $7,000 in cash and merchandise from the store. According to police, the 41 year old Sheldon man approved merchandise returns that weren't actually coming back to the store.
Authorities were eventually tipped off after noticing several inventory discrepancies.
