Title: The Bright Cloudless Skys Of Fairfax
Post by: Henry on December 05, 2006, 09:32:27 AM
Hi All,

If you looked out your window after midnight here in Fairfax last night, you could really know the meaning of the song, "Moonlight In Vermont."

It was like a giant floodlight was over my house lighting up the fresh new snow in the brisk air outside.  I didn't try to get a picture as it certainly wouldn't have done it justice.  This morning it was about 9 degrees, bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky -- I did take a picture, but it certainly didn't capture what I saw:

My wife came in around 6pm 12/4 and begged me to take a pic of the moon too.

So I did.

It came out horrible also. We had a clear evening over Anchorage that day also, and yes,,, it was beaming up here too.

The brightest I have ever seen in a while.

Sounds like the Fairfax moon reached all the way up to Alaska - Or Mike will probably say, the Alaska moon reached all the way down to Fairfax.

Whatever, it sure was beautiful, especially up here where we have no smog.
