Title: House next door to Country Pantry
Post by: workingmom on August 09, 2011, 10:53:34 AM
Anyone know what happened?  There were two vans with government plates and a dumpster in the yard.  There was alot of trash out by the road too.

when i went by at 8:30ish today, there was a small army of men there too.  At first i thought " NO bed bugs have hit Fairfax!" but then i figured they'd be wearing a hell of a lot more protective gear than work gloves....
Busted pipes maybe?  Sudden abandonment?

Just took a photo of it at 939 Main Street - I believe that is where Duane & Elaine Preston live.

Yes, their basement was very flooded and FEMA has helped them to redo the damage from mold and dampness.

I can sympathize with Duane & Elaine - In the 43 years I have lived here at my present house I have had two floods in my cellar.  What a terrible mess - I am so glad that Fema is helping this elderly couple

Ok, now I am cool with FEMA helping them.

I am sure they had mounds of paperwork to apply for the help and get it approved.

If I applied for FEMA help they would shred my application.

I have extra riders on my homeowners.

Flood and Earthquake.

Insurance is crazy..... (scam)
I bet something will happen and if it doesn't, I lose.
If it does, I lose and maybe win.....
Go figure?

If the Guvment wants to reform something, insurance is where it should be.

I think the Gov't underwrites flood insurance...I may be totally wrong.

Any Agents out there want to enlighten this poor sap?
