We are hosting Woodstock this Saturday at 1pm and would like to see if we can receive some community support from local businesses and community members of Fairfax, Fletcher, Georgia, and the surrounding areas. Here is a “press release” if you want to call it that.
To the Fairfax Football Family, Businesses, and Community Members,
As many of you are aware, several communities in the southern part of the state were devastated by Tropical Storm Irene. One of the areas affected was Woodstock. Though they are our foes on the football field for a couple of hours on Saturday, September 3rd, they have been through much over the past few days. We would like their team, staff and parents to join us for a BBQ after the game on Saturday. This is a small way of showing our support for them as they start the long road back to normalcy.
We would like to see if you would be willing to donate some items, such as food for the BBQ, bottled water, and possibly some time as volunteers. We are also taking cash donations to use towards food for the BBQ. Any money that remains would be used to purchase school supplies.
Your hospitality and generosity will be greatly appreciated. Please contact Karen McNall at 802-338-7890 or gkmcnall@myfairpoint.net to donate. We need to prepare and have everything in order by Thursday evening. Thank you. Coach Williams, 802-922-5238

We have had a nice outpouring of donations. If you haven't donated to the cause, we are still looking for volunteers, food, and monitary donations. Call Karen at 849-9200 x2050 or 802-338-7890. Thank you.

Where and what times would you need volunteers Karen?

Update: We were able to purchase school supplies, items for Woodstock food shelf, and a monitary donation will be made to the Woodstock football team. The flooding took equipment down the river, including their five man sled. Their practice field is completely covered in mud. With the rain that is predicted on Sunday and Monday, I can't imagine who could take much more.
If anyone would like to contribute to a food drive, we will take non-perishable goods between 10:30 am - 3:00 pm. Check in with Kim Combs, our on-site coordinator at the Fairfax Rec Park. We are creating a pallet to put all donations on. Monitary donations may be made to Woodstock Football; see Kim.
Another way to help, is to come to the game and support your local Bullets football. Opening game of the season; kickoff is at 1:00 p.m.
Parking available at the school.
Thank you for your support.

Sorry for the miscommunication, however, this is Windsor High School's football field. You can see the scoreboard and two yellow goal posts. They have a red, rubberized track around the football field with a nice fence and large bleachers to the left. Not much is visable. Also to the right is soccer and field hockey fields.

Friday Night Lights
BFA vs. Woodstock at Woodstock High School
7:00 pm
August 31st
The grid-iron football boosters club of Woodstock football will pay it forward and treat players, coaching staff and parents with a BBQ after the game. What a great tradition we have started with Woodstock football as we move on from Tropical Storm Irene. Go Bullets.
