Well done...damage being done by the Eastern Coyotes throughout the Atlantic Seaboard all the way from Maine to Florida , including Urban Areas , is tremendous and no household pet is safe if left alone , unprotected , against these predators. I'm sure that they inflict damage on not only fawns, but also young or weak deer during the winter herding months .  They are also difficult targets, staying close to the ground when running , and posessing extremely excellent vision , smell and hearing .
I hope that the state of Vermont is smart enough to continue to allow the hunting of these animals year long without any season ( since they  have no threat to their existence other then humans , being that Cougars and Wolves are not in great supply within the Green Mountains ) .

Good size Yote Ed!! I got 1 this year too, shot at another one but missed(300+ yards and running).  I would post a pic but I'm not as computer savvy as you!! There seems to be a lot of coyotes around this year though have heard of a bunch of sightings in the Fairfax area.
