Fairfax - J. Maurice Boucher, 93 passed away on December 23, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Montgomery, VT on March 30, 1918 son of the late Peter and Etta (Lumbra) Boucher. He had proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during WW II. Maurice will be greatly missed by his many friends and family who knew and loved him.
He is survived by: Four sons: Peter Boucher and wife Jean of CA; Paul Boucher and wife Doreen of SC; Michael Boucher and companion Tina of NC; Ronald Boucher and wife Brenda of Fairfax; Three daughters: Mary Skillin and husband Ken of Springfield; Kathy Sargent and husband Norm of Brattleboro; Linda McGraw and husband Larry of Hardwick; His brother Henry Boucher and wife Betty of NY; 26 Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Maurice was also predeceased by his loving wife Goldie of 60 years in 2001, his daughter Ramona Bruley, 10 brothers and sisters, and 4 Grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday December 26, 2011 at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a wake service being held at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with Reverend John Feltz officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Luke’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Maurice’s memory may be made to the Franklin County Home Health and Hospice, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478. Arrangements are by A. W.
