Title: JoAnne captures a Bohemian Waxwing
Post by: Henry on January 30, 2012, 08:28:20 PM
A bohemian waxwing, I believe. I had to look this one up...thought it could be a female cardinal or cedar waxwing, but decided on bohemian waxwing.

I saw it in the top of a tree off of Cherrierville Rd today.

Jo          Great photo , almost like the pose pictured in the AS Field Guide. Certainly not easy to catch with a camera .  Supposedly it'll stay around this winter unless it's food supply is depleted , so maybe there will be opportunities to photograph other in the flock  from this species .  Good job !!!
