Amber, our cook has found full time work, so is no longer able to cook the twice monthly meals on the first and third Tuesday of each month - If anyone knows of someone who would do this, they can contact Elaine Kirkpatrick at 849-6820.
Meanwhile, until we are unable to find a new cook, the senior citizens luncheons will be cancelled. Once a new cook is found, each member will be called and a notice will also be placed here on my forum.

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I got home from the doctor's and checked my answering machine. A long time resident of Fairfax had called with a name of someone he thought would be interested in the cook's job and graciously volunteered his help also - What a nice gesture - Looks like some of our long time residents move away from Fairfax, but their hearts and thoughts are still with us.
I have notified Elaine Kirkpatrick who is supposed to call him back and follow up on this lead. Meanwhile, by all means, in case this does not work out, to contact us if you or anybody you know is interested.

Unfortunately, due to illness, the person we thought would be able to do this will be unable to do it - Maybe after the operation, things might work out, however for the time being the Fairfax Senior Citizens are still looking for a new cook.
