BFA Fairfax completed its fifth annual Poetry Outloud contest on
Tuesday February 4th. Senior Jordan Rock was the winner and will
compete against school winners from the other Vermont high schools in
the Barre Auditorium on March 28th. Senior Meghan Bosley was the
runner-up and serves as alternate. Over 60 students in Fairfax
performed poems in their classrooms. Seven moved to the school finals.
Jordan's winning poems were, "Calling Him Back From Layoff" by Bob
Hickock, and "Let Me Not to the Marriage of True Minds..." by William
Shakespeare. Poetry Outloud is a nationwide recitation contest in
which over 250,000 high school students will compete in 2012.

Nice idea !!!! Congrats to the winners and also to those who participated . Good job to the faculty who encouraged their students to try and who obviously made it " a big deal " in the life of the school !!!
