FLETCHER — Eric“ Gene “Pep Mossey, 57, passed away in Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, following a long illness. Eric was born in Burlington on Feb. 9, 1950, son of the late Louis and Geraldine (Gordon) Mossey. He served our country well as a paratrooper with the U.S. Army. Eric was employed before his illness with Bouchard & Sons as an auto body technician. He loved NASCAR and the #6 driver Mark Martin. Eric was an avid hunter and fisherman and always looked forward to catching brook trout in his favorite Vermont streams. He was especially proud of being a grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends who greatly loved him. He is survived by his two sons, Dennis Mossey and wife Stacey of Georgia, Robert “R.J.“ Mossey and fiancee Leah Pedley of Westford; two brothers, James Mossey and wife Mary of Georgia, Richard Mossey and girlfriend Rose Goodman of Milton; three sisters, Marge Parmentor of White River Junction, Anita Chaplin of Virginia, Linda Borthwick of Winooski; five grandchildren, Tenisha, Bubba, Nakita, Ryan, Raevan and soon to be Damian Joseph Mossey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by, his grandson Robert “R.J.“ Mossey Jr.; six brothers, Gordon, Jack, Dale, Louis, Wayne and Kenneth Mossey. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the A. W. Rich Funeral Home - Fairfax Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Luke Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, by the Rev. John Feltz. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
