Title: Seniors, Seniors...We have so much to offer
Post by: nancyd on March 09, 2012, 01:26:23 PM
I was thinking about the goldmine of information seniors have to offer!  There are so many people here who I am sure can teach or inspire other seniors here in town. Talented people, artistic people, good cooks, good photographers, good story tellers or people who just like to tell stories. I would love a way to bring these people together to share their talents and hobbies.....

Must we wait for a meeting place to be built? Or can we start by Finding a place to meet, chat, socialize, learn?
I know you good folks are out threre.....come out, come out, wherever you are.

I'm thinking of seniors as 50+ years....

The senior housing has a great large room to do this in. That is what it is for and it is free. Contact someone that lives there. What a great idea.

Hi,
I would think it is just for the seniors who live there.....not for town's people. Maybe the Library has a meeting area? I'll figure out something.
I would like to know if there is interest out there .........who is up for something like this.......The Fairfax Senior Club?

The Fairfax Friendly Neighbors meet at the Firestation on the first and third Tuesdays of the month for lunch.  Perhaps you could come to lunch and speak to folks.
I teach an exercise class for 'seniors' on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 at the United Church.  We are a hardworking  and high spirited crew. You could come and talk to us!!
