Saturday, July 21st, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Fairfax Community Library will host a Babysitting Certification Course sponsored by the American Red Cross. The class is for 11-15 year olds of all experiences, whether they've just started to babysit or would like to become more qualified. The course is free, and attendees will need to bring a lunch.
The course covers such topics as:
- How to care for children and infants
- Making good decisions and solving problems
- Keeping the children you babysit for safe
- How to be a good role model
- Handle emergencies such as illness, injuries, and household accidents
- How to write resumes and interview
- And much more!
You will also receive a babysitting trainers pack that you can bring home after the class - it contains valuable information and resources that you will want to remember!
