Title: Fairfax Community Library - News and Upcoming Events
Post by: LibraryPrograms on August 09, 2012, 08:33:51 PM
This post contains two major parts.  First:
Congratulations to the readers in our community who dreamt big and read this summer!  Continue dreaming big and reading, and we’ll see you at the Library!
A warm congratulation goes out to our Summer 2012 Reading Program prizewinners!  Winners not present at the time of the drawings at today’s Summer Reading Finale will be receive a call notifying them of their winnings.
The 2012 Summer Reading Finale was fantastic!  Magician and comedian Tom Joyce brought the entertainment – magic, stories, and laughs – that had the audience enthralled.  A hearty “Thank You!” goes out to Tom.  In addition, the Library served ice cream and locally made chocolate and vanilla cakes, which were delicious and beautifully decorated in this summer’s reading theme.
If your children participated in the Dream Big Read! this summer, there are certificates available to pick up at the Library to commemorate their work.  Just ask one of the librarians the next time you stop in!
Look for photos of the Summer Reading Finale on Fairfax Community Library’s Facebook page!
