That's pretty facile, Ed, even for you.

Forget the fact that Netflix, Redbox, and Amazon have rendered another business model obsolete.

I went up to get the mail Monday and noticed the signs in the windows. Went in and talked with the guy. They have had the business for 10 years and it was time to move on. They had a loyal set of customers from surrounding towns, so business was still good. Bought a bunch of DVDs while I was there.
Sorry Ed. Can't blame this one on the president.

I am surprised they hung on this long... the days of getting your media on flat, round things are over, unfortunately.
CD's, DVD's, Blu-ray's will always be around, but not in numbers that can support a store.

... still hanging onto, and playing my vinyl LP's  :)

Ed, he shot Bin Laden though!!! Sorry man, but that makes up for him causing family video to go out of business. :)

Family Video will be open till September 30th selling inventory.
The consignment shop helped offset Netflix, etc.
and, for the record, I love that vinyl too.

I still own vinyl records and had to purchase a special adapter to run a turntable on my receiver--in 1999! I probably can't even hook up the adapter to a new receiver now.

Netflix, Redbox, and the abundance of online streaming have caused video stores as we know them to become a thing of the past--not the president, the in effective congress, or any other political faction.

Members of rescue will certainly miss the video store a lot.
