Title: Lost Dog

09/30/12 MISSING: Brittany in Fairfax, VT (Franklin Co.)
The drawing is of a Border Collie, closest I could find on the website. Brittanies have floppy ears and usually the tail is docked.
https://www.facebook.com/ajtobias (https://www.facebook.com/ajtobias) This morning at around 10 AM my 3 year old brittany wandered off and she has not come home yet. Normally she doesn't wander off for more than 20 or 30 minutes and as of this posting, she's been gone for 8 hours. I'm hoping someone in the area saw her wandering around and took her in. She is white with orange on her back, orange freckles on her legs and nose, a little blue tattoo on her stomach from the vet that spayed her, and a purple collar. She's super friendly and would come over to any person or other dog to try to make a new friend. We're new to the area and from a city, so she doesn't know to not follow deer, turkeys, or any other wild life off into the woods and I'm really hoping to find her before she gets hurt! If you've seen her in the area of Nichols Road in Fairfax, Route 104, or anywhere near Oakland Station Road or the Georgia rest area on 89, please please please help her come home! This isn't just a dog to me, she's family and unbearably missed already.
Please call 802-862-3491, message me on fb, or bring her to 225 Nichols Road.
Thank you!

On 9/30/12 VSP was made aware of a dog running around I 89 North. Trooper Mattuchio patrolled the area and noticed a vehicle that appeared to be disabled. Upon speaking with the operator, later identified as Amie Korbanek from New York, advised that a dog was in the roadway and was trying to find a safe location looking to bring the dog. Korbanek was advised of the animal hospital in St. Albans.
On 10/2/12 a missing dog poster was sent as an e-mail. Trooper Mattuchio recognized the dog and attempted to notify the owner of the vehicle to advise her the owner was looking for the dog. NY State Police was informed of the situation and informed Forbanek. She works in the St. Albans area and will be returning the dog. The owner of the dog was informed and couldn't be happier.

YAY!! I hope the owner will now make sure to keep the dog leasher or on a dog run when put outside. How scary that she was on the interstate!
