Citizens for Fairfax Community
Board Meeting
October 9, 2012

Present were: Amanda Duling*, Mark Hunziker*, Robby Rodimer*, Mary Skidmore Taylor* and Katrina Antonovich

Annual Meeting: The Annual Meeting will take place December 4 at 7 pm at the Inn at Grace Farm. Desserts and beverages will be provided. The agenda will include a brief presentation about this year's accomplishments and a brainstorming of ideas for next year.

Grants: Mark talked with Corey about the grant from the Division for Historic Preservation. There was agreement in principle, but not enough time to work out priorities and matching funds. Katrina found a grant for which we qualify with one exception. Robby will research the requirements for this. Ann Cousins recommended that we visit a Pierce Hall in Rochester Vt, which Robby would be willing to do.

Nominating Committee: Board members are elected at the Annual Meeting. Mary agreed to chair this committee. Elizabeth Griffin, Robby Rodimer and Amanda Duling have expiring terms. Amanda and Robby agreed to continue to serve. Mary will check with Elizabeth. We agreed that more Board members were needed. The bylaws state that we will have no less than 6, nor more than 12 members.  Mary will post a notice on Henry Raymond's Website. Katrina has some ideas which she will run by the people involved and then let Mary know who might be interested.

Haunted House
: Plans for the Haunted House to take place in the Baptist Building October 26, 27 and 31 5-8 pm are well under way and much help is still needed. Ann Lemieux has created a wonderful design and will oversee decorating. Katrina has made a colorful poster and Ann Lemieux's niece, Amanda is taking care of media publicity. Work schedules and list of items need to be built and donated/loaned are available on Henry's website and Facebook. These can also be emailed out. The Recreation Department has generously offered to donate $500 for expenses related to this event, which will increase the proceeds going to CFC. Thank you!  Much of what is purchased can be used in future years. For more information on how you can help, please contact Ann Lemieux, 802-849-6605 or Katrina Antonovich fairfaxparksandrec@yahoo.com

The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 13th at 7:30 pm at the United Church of Fairfax.
