About 2160 voters turned our. A lot of absentee ballots which all had to be opened, checked off and put through the machine. There was a line just about all day. The local polititions who came in to vote during the day llooked half frozen. Takes a lot of dedication to stand out there in the cold to greet voters away from the polling entrance.
The special ballot for the new town office passed with a vote of 1221 voting yes and 840 voting no - There were 27 spoiled ballots and a number of voters did not vote on this issue.

Many thanks to Jim & Lena for their many years of service
Also, many thanks for those of you who voted for me in this election - I appreciate it
I personally got home around 9 p.m., but things were being picked up as another election ends. At the very end, Jim & Lena Meunier were presented with a signed card and a cake as they were applauded and thanked for their many years of service.
