Title: Marsden Farm

Doggone it. I can never get this thing to work. If you visit my website, there is an interesting story about a study at Marsden Farm in Iowa. It has implications, or could, for farming in Vermont and the US.

www.pondermountain.com (http://www.pondermountain.com) or just go to the Pondermountain Facebook page, there is a link there. JS

Thank you for the article.  It seems so commonsensical!  I read a fascinating  book about the Dust Belt ( and I believe that is the name of the book) that describes the devastation to the land as a result of aggressive industrial farming.  The article posits a reasonable and sensible approach to agriculture that doesn't pollute and poison while  producing good yields.

Thanks for sharing that, John.  We enjoy Bittman's How To Cook Everything at our place.

Have you guys read much Wendell Berry?

I had never heard of him. Based on your recommendation, I read "It All Turns on Affection". Wow. A thing of beauty.
