Incident # : 12A104944

Description of Incident:
Troopers from the Vermont State Police, Williston Barracks, Milton Fire and Rescue Personnel along with a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector are currently at the scene of a crash involving a commercial motor vehicle at mile marker 99, north, in the town of Milton. This crash was reported at 23:33 hours by a passing motorist. The operator, 66 year old Andrzej Sobocinski suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.

The vehicle, an 18 wheeled tractor-trailer unit is hauling 6,500 gallons of glycerin. Glycerin is considered  a non-hazardous material, however, it will need to be off loaded before the truck can be uprighted. The truck was traveling NB when it went off into the median and overturned.

The interstate at this location is currently open, however the passing lane is closed. It is anticipated that this crash will take the majority of the night to clear up.
