Hi All,
Thanks to Sally Sweet for letting me know. Apparently somebody was trying to worm their way into the server. The tech sent me back the following response:
Hello,
Thank you for your ticket.
It appears that MySQL was overloading due to too many connections from an IP. We have taken the necessary actions to stop this abuse and the server is now returning to stable load. If you have any question or need further assistance please let us know.

They are out there. I think we have too much time on our hands. Hard to understand why somebody would try to do harm to such a great service such as yours. Keep us informed anyway Henry

HostDime is very good. Several people told me it was down and after I submitted my trouble ticket, they had it fixed in about 10 minutes. My site costs me $99 a year. Larry Ward set up the forum, the photo gallery and index page for me. I can and do create simple web sites, but they are not beautiful, or well organized. My main objective is to provide you with local news with as little effort on my part as possible, while allowing all of you who are registered to help me out.
