Does anyone know why they are closed tonight? Didn't know if there was an issue because of the weather but hoping the closure isn't permanent.

Frozen water pipe. There is a sign on the door

Thanks....I hadn't been by, just word of mouth that they were closed.

Thanks tfence for posting the reason for the Country Pantry being closed. It is truly unfortunate that there are a few people in town, or out of town, that would like to see it fail and enjoy spreading negative things about it. We need a sit-down restaurant in town and even though I don't go out to eat that often I have found The Country Pantry an excellent place to eat.

I second that sentiment Henry. I usually only go their for breakfast, but I've found the food to eb good, service quick and courteous, and price fairly right ( if you want diner prices, you'll get diner food).

We will certainly be going to the Pantry when we visit this summer

I hope they are doing well. We have had several good meals there since they opened and they are now at the top of our list when we are looking for a convenient place to eat out on short notice.
The previous few iterations of the restaurant (after the Vermont Breakfast Company closed) were not on our list at all after eating there a couple of times. My family is very happy with the current offering.

I hear they will be having a new menu. I would like to see a couple of Italian dishes,I.e. spaghetti and meat sauce , lasagna, etc..
-
Does anyone know if they have reopened yet? Unable to check myself because I am at work in Burlington. Thanks.
-
I just called the Country Pantry at 802-849-0599 and they are open their regular hours.
-
Thanks Henry & everyone for posting the updates.
I would also like to see them suceed as Fairfax needs a reasonable $$ & sitdown place to dine- whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner.
-
Thanks Henry....you are a sweetheart for making the call. Hope you are doing better.

I don't know if it was because of the holidays, but my daughter was up from Boston and we went a couple times (once for lunch, the other supper) and both times there were only a few people there. The food was really good both times: had the bbq pulled pork quesadilla and the sirloin steak for dinner. I definitely hope the traffic picks up for them and they succeed.
