Title: First Class Mail Jumps To .46 Sunday, January 27, 2013
Post by: Henry on January 26, 2013, 06:54:16 AM
Today will be the last day you can buy forever stamps for .45 cents.  Monday they go to .46 cents.

The Post Office is losing money.  People are not using the Postal Service like they used to.  I know I personally pay a lot of bills on line, rather than through the mail.

they're doing more than just rate increases. They're enforcing strict rules on parcel sizes to make more money. They could start offering better customer service, speed up time at offices, lease excess space to businesses like redbox or other kiosk companies or small banks. They just choose to not be dynamic in the market beyond Forever stamps and Flat Rate shipping.

The federal government should let the have more freedom in operations.
