Title: DAMAGE TO VEHICLES: Flat tires, undercarriage damage on Interstate 89

DATE/TIME: 02/05/13 at 2055 hours
LOCATION: Interstate 89 northbound near the Colchester Weigh Station in the Town of Colchester

 

MULTIPLE VEHICLES INVOLVED

DAMAGE TO VEHICLES: Flat tires, undercarriage damage

INJURIES: None

WEATHER: Clear 
ROAD COND: Dry

 

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On the above date and time, State Troopers responded to Interstate 89 northbound near the Colchester Weigh Station where a portion of the bridge plate in the right lane of the roadway became dislodged and caused damage to numerous vehicles that traveled over this area.

 

Troopers made contact with approximately seven vehicles that were damaged from this incident.  Damage included flat tires and undercarriage damage.  Two vehicles were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

AOT has responded to the area and the right lane near the Colchester Weigh Station has been shut down while crews fix the problem on the roadway.
