A St. Albans man and a woman from Fairfax were found dead Monday night in what State Police are now calling a murder-suicide investigation.
Carroll J. Robtoy, 63, of St. Albans, and Gwendolyn S. Gallup, 46, of Fairfax, were found dead inside a residence at 377 Nichols Road in Fairfax, said Vermont State Police in St. Albans.
Troopers released the names of both victims' at about 11 a.m. this morning.
Troopers said they responded to the residence at about 9:20 p.m. and discovered two people dead. Police also discovered evidence of a fire in the basement of the house.
The investigation is ongoing.
