SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 4/27/13, Vermont State Police responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of Fletcher Rd and Wilkins Rd in Fairfax, VT.
 

The operator of the 1991 Honda Civic, identified as Davis Bodette III (21) of Cambridge, VT failed to stop at the stop sign at Fletcher Rd and Shepherds Hollow Rd. Bodette was then struck in the passenger side of his vehicle by a 2008 Honda Ridgeline, operated by Michelle Messier (36). Bodette and Messier sustained minor injuries and were not transported to the hospital. Bodette's passenger, Karleigh Baumann (21) from New Jersey, was transported to Fletcher Allen Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

 It does not appear that alcohol and drugs were a factor in this crash. This crash is still under investigation.

UPDATE:
On 5/10/13 at approximately 2130 hours, Davis Bodette III was charged with Gross Negligent Operation.
Bodette was transported to the State Police Barracks for fingerprints and photographs.
Bodette will appear in Franklin County Distrcit Court on June 17, 2013 at 1pm.
