At my Drs appointment last Thursday my Dr gave me a prescription for my Shingles vaccine. She had offered to do this before, but I did not relish the thought of spending $200. Checked with my prescription insurance (mail order) and they told I had to get it at a local drug store. My local CVS store which fills my IBM RXs doesn't carry it, nor does Rick here in town. I ended up going to Kinney's in Milton yesterday and my RX Insurance covered everything except $59.22, so I now have my Shingles vaccine. Does not guarantee I will not get Shingles, but pretty good chance I won't. My oldest daughter had them and told me it was very painful and worth even the $200 if I could avoid getting them.

I had an injection for the shingles vaccine at my doctors and was told they are encouraging all adults to get one.
