Title: 40th Anniversary of the Fairfax Tornado Tuesday June 11th

Forty years ago Tuesday evening will mark the anniversary of the tornado that touched down in Fairfax. The date was June 11, 1973. It was a Monday evening around 8:30pm. it was very quick, but the memories of those that were living in Fairfax at that time, will last forever. I think that year is incorrect.

The date is right.
It has been 40 years.

I so remember that!!! 
We as neighborhood children in the village of Fairfax were dispatched by our parents to clean up branches and small trees. 
I have never heard such a sound in my life as I did that night.
I was a terrified 10 year old that night.
