Vermont State Police have been advised by VTrans that the I-89 southbound travel and breakdown lanes near MM80.0 (locally known as French Hill)  will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time while crews survey and make repairs to the roadside, after yesterday’s rainstorm.

Motorists should be aware that heavy traffic and time delays could be encountered during peak travel periods.  They are asked to reduce speeds throughout this section of roadway and to be cognizant of personnel/equipment working onsite.

Further inquiries may be directed to VTrans directly.
