Title: Father Of Ryann Huestis Dies At Age 62

LYNN C. HUESTIS

COLCHESTER — Lynn C. Huestis, 62, of Colchester, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Dec. 17, 2013. Lynn was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Middlebury, the son of Faith (Bingham) and Howard L. Huestis.

He was raised in Bridport, graduated from Middlebury Union High School and attended the University of Vermont.

Lynn joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1970, and served until 1976. At the time of his death, he was a systems analyst at GE Healthcare (formerly IDX) where he had worked for more than 20 years.

Lynn cared deeply about his family. He had a quiet sense of humor. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, crossword puzzles, fishing, and quality time with family.

Lynn leaves his wife, Judy; three children, Carrie J. Huestis (Jeff Sweet) of Charlotte, N.C., Howard L. Huestis of Starksboro, and Ryann Huestis (Tyler Thibault) of Fairfax; his beloved granddaughter, “Ally“ Allison Huestis of Charlotte, N.C.; mother, Faith E. Angier of Middlebury; brother, Stephen H. Huestis (Sheila); sister, Judith A. Peck (David) of Schenectady, N.Y.; brother, Marc E. Huestis (Pamela) of Cornwall, N.Y.; as well as many other relatives. He also leaves behind his “GE family,“ and other close friends.

Lynn was predeceased by his father, Howard I. Huestis in 1968; and step¬father, Carl Angier in 1994. The family especially wishes to thank the staff of Fletcher Allen Health Care for the wonderful care they provided to Lynn in his last weeks.

They also wish to acknowledge the exceptional outpouring of love and friendship from his friends and colleagues at GE Healthcare and the continued support from Lynn’s GE family.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction, with a memorial service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Lynn’s memory may be made to the Vermont Cancer Center, University of Vermont College of Medicine, The Courtyard at Given, 4th Floor North, 89 Beaumont Ave., Burlington, VT 05405
