I haven't heard anything, but if anybody does and knows where it was, I might be able to scoot up and take a photo of what is left.

Channel 3 reported the following this morning:

An early-morning fire destroyed a home in Fletcher. Crews were called to the Fairfield Road at two this morning. They found the house fully engulfed in flames. The Fairfax fire department says no one was home at the time of the fire. They don't know how it started. Those first responders were able to save the garage on the property.

The location of the fire was:

Fairfield Rd. across from Burlson rd. Up and over Tabor Hill left onto Ellsworth Rd. right at the end of it where you go onto Fairfield road. Appears to be somewhere in the area of the trailer that was owned by Francis & Mary Fay at one time.

It was the trailer that Fay's used to own.

Still don't know who presently owns the Fay Trailer up in Fletcher.  There was a car there this morning when I was up there taking pictures, but I did not speak to anyone regarding that.  Below are the photos.  Tonight's Messenger stated that the Garage is where the fire was believed to have started.  It was salvaged, however, a vehicle did catch fire and the cause is under investigation.  A fire department spokesman said responders felt lucky to save even a portion of the garage:

The vehicle in front of the green SUV appears to have caught fire

The trailer is where Francis & Mary Fay lived

Francis died a number of years ago and Mary (Sloan) Fay passed away April 30, 2005[/b]

This was where Sean Murphy and his daughter lived.  I have heard that they are saying lightening was the cause, but I have not talked to Sean personally yet to hear it from him.  They lost everything as you can see and his car too.  I know they have a can at Steeple Market for donations to help him and his daughter Maddison out with replacing items.
