Title: Do You Know What Kind Of Animal This Is???
Post by: Henry on March 26, 2014, 07:48:59 PM: This animal was on my compost pile this evening.
It was the size of a raccoon, and very black.
Reminded me of a fisher cat, but much larger body.
It did have a tail, about 8 inches long.

Post by: Stand Alone Defense on March 27, 2014, 08:19:37 AM: Hmmmmm that is hard to tell by the picture. I would lean more towards a Fisher Cat but a Marten is possible as well. If it is a Marten that is a good find as they are endangered in Vermont.
