Paul A. Airoldi
Highgate - Paul A. Airoldi, 44, a lifelong resident of this community, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
Born in St. Albans January 9, 1970, Paul was the son of the late Herve Airoldi, Sr. and Lise LeBlanc Airoldi. He went to elementary school in Highgate, was a 1988 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School and attended Champlain College. Paul served for 6 years with the Vermont Air National Guard and for the past 16 years was employed at Husky Injection Molding in Milton. Prior to that, he worked for a number of years at Bertek in Swanton. He was a member of St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in Highgate.
On January 20, 1996, he married the former Janice Bellrose. An avid collector, Paul and Janice loved antiquing and going to auctions together. He had such creative ingenuity and could find a purpose for anything. He had many interests, including a love of cars, and took great pride in his 1960 Corvair and 1965 Mustang. Paul enjoyed more than anything, spending time with his family and many great friends. So many fond memories were made at Rock n Roldi’s, his favorite gathering place.
In addition to his wife, Janice of Highgate, Paul is survived by his son, Anthony Airoldi of Fairfax, three daughters; Allyssa-Lise Airoldi of St. Albans, Kaylynne and Maya Airoldi of Highgate and two brothers; Daniel and wife Jayne Airoldi of Essex and Herve Airoldi Jr. and companion Kim of Enosburg, a sister; Lena Airoldi of Jeffersonville and sister-in-law; Lynne Airoldi of Fairfax, his in-laws, Frank and Melody Bellrose of Swanton, his sisters-in-law; Lisa and husband Shawn Hayden of St. Albans and Sharon Bellrose of Essex, His nieces and nephews; Dan Jr. and wife Robyn, Josh and wife Lynne, Luke, Elizabeth and husband Josh Smith, Maria, Alex, Ashley, Allyson and Bailey Airoldi, Seth Goodhue, Josh and Emily Hayden, and Katie and Meagan Jarvis. He also leaves his canine companion, Lucy.
In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by a son, Dylan on November 1, 2013 and two brothers, James and Allen Airoldi.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11 AM from St. Louis Church in Highgate Center with full military honors following the Mass. Private interment and committal services will be held at a later date in the Airoldi Family lot in St. Louis Cemetery.
