SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 06/01/2014 at approx. 1525 hrs, State Police received a report of a motor vehicle crash on School Road in Fletcher. Troopers arrived on scene after Fairfax and Cambridge Fire and Fairfax Rescue. Upon arrival it was learned the single occupant/operator had sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
Initial investigation revealed V#1 was traveling east on School Road in Fletcher. School Road is a gravel road and at this section of highway there is a long steep corner that turns left traveling south. The vehicle appears to have lost control and started fish-tailing causing the vehicle to leave the highway off the south shoulder hitting a large tree. The vehicle hit the tree with enough force that it caved the driver side door in and causing injuries to the operator.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor. This crash is still under investigation.
DAMAGE TO VEHICLE:
The vehicle suffered serious contact impact damage to the entire driver side as a result of hitting a large tree in the wooded area

2003 Jaguar

Sad news. Roger was pivotal in keeping the Soccer Club alive and running for a number of years. I've only know him to be kind, respectful, courteous and helpful. This is a loss for the community.
