LOCATION: 93 Beartown Rd., Underhill, Vermont

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Underhill, Vermont
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 7-6-14 at approximately 1813 hours the Underhill Fire Department responded to 93 Beartown Rd. in Underhill for a report of a garage fire. Upon the arrival of the fire department observed smoke and visible flames coming from the structure. A quick fire suppression ensued and the fire was suppressed. Mutual Aide was requested and Cambridge, Essex, Richmond, Williston, Westford, and Fairfax Fire Departments responded to assist.
A request by Chief Matthew Champlin was made to the Vermont State Police, Fire Investigation Unit for an origin and cause investigation on 7-6-14. A member of the Vermont State Police Fire Investigation Unit and an Investigator with the Division of Fire Safety responded to the scene on 7-7-14.
Based on the results of this investigation the fire team concluded that the fire not suspicious. Nobody was injured as a result of the incident. The damage to the structure is estimated at $45,000.00.
