Title: Flag To Be Disposed Of
Post by: Henry on September 04, 2014, 07:59:56 AM
I recently took down a flag & replaced it.  Is there a Boy Scout Group that would like it to dispose of it??

Henry, if no one comes forward I know that the American Legion out in St. Albans will dispose of them.  We take all of the old cemetery flags to them after we put up the new ones each spring.   If no one is there you can leave them in a bag at the door.

Is this on Kingman Street near the old People's Trust Bank?

Thanks.  Good, I don't have to drive in the city.  Will put it in my car so I will have it with me.

The Bot Scout troop in Milton takes them.  They then dispose of them in a fairly solemn ceremony.
They were doing this at the National Night Out back in August.
