"Are you kidding me"??, was my comment to myself at 6 a.m. this morning with a reading of -32 degrees here in the village. Not good. But the sun is shining!!

I can't recall a winter this cold for this long ever in my life. If it occurred, it was before I was aware. I Mostly don't mind winter as long as there is snow and can tolerate the weeks in January that are generally bitter cold, but this makes it hard to enjoy all the snow. I'm ready for some sunny days with more normal temps. At this point, 35 and sunny will feel like spring. Any temp that will thaw out my digits, at thiis point is acceptable. :-)

Anchorage Alaska is about 60 degrees warmer.
In the past 24 hrs, now being 4:37pm 2/25/2015, we have ranged between +24F at the low and +39 at the high.
Right NOW it is +35.
Oh, and we've had NO snow.
Just saying

I wouldn't appreciate those temps w/o snow. But they're far better than the extended period of negs we've had this year! I don't hate winter, but am certainly empathizing with those who do right now.
