Arthur W. Webb age 95 of Fairfax died at his home on Saturday May 30, 2015. He was born in Birmingham, England on January 2, 1920 son of the late Herbert and Betsy (Powers) Webb. Arthur graduated from Bellows Free Academy, Fairfax, and from Vermont Agricultural College (now VTC). He was a well known dairyman in the area and was active in the Farm Bureau, a member of the Eastern Breeders Association, the Natural Resources Conservation Council and the Vermont Resources and Development council for many years. He was a member of the Eastern Stars, Fairfax Unity Chapter # 17, the Masons, Lamoille Lodge #6, Fairfax Grange # 525. He was a board member of the United Church of Fairfax, the board of Civil Authority, a BFA school trustee over the years.

Dad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a dedicated farmer and remained active on the farm even after he retired. We will miss the stories he shared with us, the holidays and special occasions we had as a family.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret. He is also survived by his children Diane Morrissette of Essex Jct., Judy Beaudry of Fairfax, Ronnie and Bonnie Webb of Fairfax, Larry Webb and partner Judyann Dimick of Georgia, Jeffrey and Louise Webb of Fairfax, a brother George Kemp and wife Beverly of Highgate, cousin Frena Phillips, seven grandchildren James Morrissette, Neal Beaudry, Wyatt Beaudry, Courtney Webb, Lindsey Webb, Jonathon Webb, Katie Bessette and husband Timothy, seven great grandchildren, Logan, Levi, Avery, Lennik, Aubrey, Autumn, Cassidy, several nieces, nephews cousins and faithful companions “Molly” & “Twinkles”.

He was also predeceased by his grandson Ryan Webb, brother Herbert and his wife Jessie, sister Mabel Benoit and her husband Ferdinand Benoit, sister Phyllis Maxfield and her husband Walter.

Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday June 2, 2015 from 2- 4 pm and 7- 9 pm at the A.W. Rich Funeral Home - Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main St., Fairfax, VT 05454. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 11:00AM at the United Church of Fairfax. Burial will follow in the family lot in Fairfax Plains Cemetery. Sally Sweet asked me to add the photo to the obituary.  What a nice tribute.  I clipped the photo off of Facebook and changed the name so everyone would be able to see it.
