The Arnold Zlotoff Tool Museum which houses a collection of 3000 examples of 19th century tools will be open July 4 from 12-5 and July 5 from 10-4. Admission to the museum is free, and the tool collection includes all manner of hand tools representing a wide variety of the trades and occupations of 19th century America.
Usual hours are Saturdays 10-4 until Columbus Day.
The museum is housed in a great red barn at the Apple Island Resort on South Hero, about 1/2 from Fairfax. It is visible from the road, and there is always a sign out on the road indicating where the museum is.
