Hi All,
Rick Burnham called me today to let me know that he is planning on starting a weekly newspaper here in Fairfax with the first edition coming out on September 7th. He told me that he had discussed it with a number of people and they all mentioned he should check with me. I certainly have no problem with it as my website is a two way communication. I am not sure what area Rick's Weekly Newspaper will cover, but I believe he said he will also have a website.
Rick goes by Fairfax Rick here on my forum and is one of my neighbors here in Fairfax. Fairfax has grown considerably and Rick told me he felt he could get enough news and advertisers to put out a weekly newspaper. We still have Chris Santee's Franklin One on the Internet and his Fairfax News which comes out monthly and a weekly page in The St. Albans Messenger for Fairfax plus Mike Cain covers some of the local news in his Daily Blog and his photos on the Internet
Although many people have Internet, there are many that don't and they do miss a lot of the communication that goes on, so the more printed news the better. Mike Cain keeps all the newspapers with Fairfax News up at the museum. Was looking through some of the real old Fairfax News the other day when I was in there back when the Fairfax News was mimeographed and Mike Cain and Larry Parsons used to do some drawings in them.
We have a lot of former Fairfax Residents that visit the present web sites and am sure will also visit Fairfax Rick's when he gets it up and I am sure we will talk about things on each other's web sites. I of course will still maintain my policy on my forum to shy away from deragatory remarks about people. Most of us have slipped up from time to time in our life and I intentionally do not put that stuff on my forum even though I am aware of it.
Rick, please feel free to put up anything on my forum regarding your upcoming newspaper and the same for you Chris.

Hello,
I am afraid there is not much to say about it at this point. The Fairfax Breeze. Weekly paper, published on Friday. 12 pages, including news - features - commentary - and sports. We are working hard to have it available on Sept. 7. Getting started a little late, but motivated to make it happen.
www.fairfaxbreeze.com (not much there at this point, so don't expect much.)
Free to begin with, until we find out if advertising will support us. We appreciate your support.
